SimTrain Eco solves these problems with an all-in-one cloud-based education management system that is affordable, flexible, and parent-friendly.

In this guide, we answer the most common questions centre owners ask about pricing, costs, features, and daily functions—so you can confidently decide whether SimTrain Eco suits your centre.

[A] Pricing & Subscription Questions

1. Is SimTrain a one-time payment or a monthly subscription?

SimTrain Eco operates on a monthly and yearly subscription model with no upfront cost.

This allows centres to start immediately without heavy investment.

Optional training is available as a one-time fee if requested.

2. What happens if I stop subscribing? Will I lose my data?

Your data will not be deleted immediately, regardless of whether you are on a paid plan or the Free Plan.

SimTrain Eco will only remove your data if both of the following conditions are met:

  1. You are not on any active paid plan, and

  2. There is no activity in the system for 3 months (this refers specifically to no active login to your SimTrain Eco account).

As long as you continue to log in or use the platform, even on the Free Plan, your data remains safe.

If your paid subscription ends, you may downgrade to the Free Plan by contacting us.

Please note that the Free Plan comes with feature limitations, and some advanced functions will not be available.

We are happy to assist you with downgrading, and as long as your account remains active, your data will be preserved.

3. Are there any hidden fees? (Setup, training, user limits?)

There are no setup fees and no upfront costs.

However, some optional add-ons come with charges:

Add-ons:

  • Additional student headcount

    • Lite: RM0.30/student/month (up to 500 students)

    • Pro: RM0.50/student/month (up to 1000 students)

  • Additional centres

    • Lite: RM100/centre/month

    • Pro: RM200/centre/month

  • Training (optional)

    • RM700 (SST excl.) for 3 hours

    • Unlimited number of participants

Everything else is included.

4. Can I start with a basic plan and upgrade later?

Yes. You can upgrade your plan anytime via the upcoming billing portal or by contacting our support team.

5. Do I pay per user or per student?

The base plan includes:

  • Lite: 100 students with expansion up to 500 students

  • Pro: 200 students with expansion up to 1000 students

Add-ons can be purchased if you exceed the included headcount.

6. Does SimTrain handle both student and tutor management?

Yes. SimTrain Eco allows you to manage:

  • Student profiles

  • Enrolments

  • Billing and payment history

7. Can I take attendance through the system?

Yes, in two ways:

  1. Through the web system

  2. Via the free Tutor App (teachers log in and mark attendance instantly)

8. Can I schedule and reschedule classes easily?

Absolutely. The calendar is drag-and-drop enabled, allowing you to:

  • Create classes within seconds

  • Reschedule lessons

  • Change tutors on the spot

It’s designed for speed and flexibility.

9. How does billing and invoicing work?

SimTrain supports:

  • Individual billing

  • Bulk recurring billing (for all students at once)

Invoices are issued based on enrolment, and receipts are generated once payments are made.

10. Does it send fee reminders to parents automatically?

Yes. Parents receive notifications via the mySimTrain parent app, usually within 10 minutes of an invoice being issued.

11. Does it support discounts, trial classes, or instalment plans?

Yes, SimTrain supports:

  • Discounts

  • Instalment plans / partial payments

  • Trial classes (students won’t be billed during the trial period)

12. Can parents view attendance and payment records?

Yes. Parents can use the free mySimTrain app to:

  • View student attendance

  • Check payment history

  • Download invoices and receipts

13. Is there a parent mobile app?

Yes. The mySimTrain app is free for parents and adult learners.

14. Can I see reports and summaries?

Yes. SimTrain provides detailed and summary reports, such as:

  • Outstanding fees

  • Collections

  • Active classes

  • Student enrolment lists

15. Does it support tutor salary or commission tracking?

Yes. SimTrain can calculate:

  • Hourly rate commissions
